The School is seeking applications from a statistician for an academic position in the Discipline of Mathematics and Statistics and is particularly interested in applicants with expertise in a wide range of applied statistical areas e.g. hypothesis testing, linear models, analysis of variance, experimental design, multivariate statistics, nonparametric statistics, survey design and analysis. The appointee will be required to teach statistics and mathematics into the undergraduate program, perform statistical consulting duties, supervise postgraduate students, carry out research in his or her own areas of interest, promote the School to the local community and contribute to the other activities of the School. Possession of a PhD in Statistics or a related discipline is essential. An outstanding/demonstrable track record (Level D/ Level C) in research and scholarship is required.

Employment Type: Appointment will be full-time on a continuing basis subject to a probationary period.

Salary: Senior Lecturer - Academic Level C - $89,751 - $103,033 per annum or Associate Professor - Academic Level D - $107,460 - $118,082 per annum. Level of appointment and commencing salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience.
