Salary Level for Lecturer Level B: A$81,629 - A$96,231per year, plus 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading.

Salary Level for Senior Lecturer Level C: A$99,147 - A$113,749 per year, plus 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading.

The level of the appointment is dependent on the qualification and experience.

The School of Mathematics and Statistics is the largest in Australia and a major centre of research in the mathematical sciences. The School has notable strengths in fundamental research right through to cutting edge applications.

The Department of Statistics is seeking to appoint up to two positions at the Lecturer and/or Senior Lecturer levels. Applications in any area of the Department's current research strengths are welcome particularly with those having research track records in the areas of Financial Mathematics, Stochastic Processes, Stochastic Risk Modelling or Statistical Science. Applicants should have

PhD in an area relevant to the research areas of Financial Mathematics, Stochastic Processes, Stochastic Risk Modelling or Statistical Science

strong commitment to independent research and be able to teach a wide range of courses offered in the School

ability to supervise research projects in the School's undergraduate and postgraduate programs

proven skills in research and research leadership, strong publication records and a commitment to teaching and course development of the highest standard

This is a full time continuing position.
