NPS promotes the quality use of medicines through the delivery of programs and services to health professionals and the community. Due to continued growth we have an opportunity for a Biostatistician Leader to join our Program Evaluation team.
The role
NPS is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced biostatistician to provide high-level statistical analysis for the evaluation of the impact of NPS programs on drug utilisation. Responsibilities will require you to document and communicate data analysis techniques, evaluation methods and findings to both internal and external audiences, including preparation of regular reports / articles for publication in peer reviewed journals. You will also be required to advise NPS staff on appropriate statistical methods for evaluation purposes other than drug utilisation analysis.
Essential to your success
Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline such as biostatistics, statistics and mathematics.
Demonstrated experience in the study design, data analysis and result interpretation in quantitative studies.
Strong analytical skills including good programming and statistical analysis ability using SAS.
Experience working with large administrative databases.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills in both written and oral forms.
Experience of writing comprehensive reports.
