Lead and manage the activities of the Research Performance Analysis team
Develop and implement processes to respond to new analytical demands from stakeholders
Full-time continuing: $122K p.a including leave loading and up to 17% super
The Research Performance Analysis Manager will lead, develop and coordinate the activities of the team consisting of research analysts and bibliometric specialists. The team also conduct government program projects. You will proactively identify areas for research analysis and turn the resultant outputs into strategic options for the University and faculties. This position will also be the focal liaison point for the Australian Research Council's Excellence in Research activities for the University and report submission. This will require close liaison with Faculty Associate Dean's Research and administrative staff University wide.
Reporting to the Director, RADs, you will:
utilise your high-level leadership and management skills, including both human resource and financial management, to lead and manage the activities of the Research Performance Analysis team
provide high-level advice to the Director, RADS and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research (DVC-R) on strategies to maximise the research areas and identification of the current strengths and weaknesses of the research effort of the University and potential strategies to mitigate weaknesses
liaise with external stakeholders, ARC, DIISR and ABS to define research performance analysis elements and manage delivery of the required outputs e.g. ERA report, HERDC report
provide strategic support to stakeholders regarding research performance analysis, options, models, outcomes and results
develop and implement processes to respond to new analytical demands from stakeholders including the Deputy Vice Chancellor-Research, Senior Executive Group, Senior Executive Group-Research Committee, Divisional Boards etc in line with the University strategic plan.
This exciting position suits an experienced manager with high-level analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills and the ability to assimilate and distil complex information. You will effectively communicate key concepts and negotiate and influence planning and development of information strategies. Relevant postgraduate qualification and experience within the higher education sector is highly desirable.
The position is full time continuing.
