Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre

The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) co-ordinates the application and selection process for Victorian universities, TAFE institutes and independent tertiary colleges. VTAC wishes to appoint an experienced senior manager responsible for its research, data analysis and statistical reporting functions.

Reporting to the Director of VTAC this role will manage the scaling process for VCE results, calculate the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) for Victorian year 12 students and prepare an extensive range of analyses and annual statistical reports of the outcomes of the tertiary selection process.

You will manage research projects and develop creative approaches and solutions to complex problems. You will have postgraduate qualifications in mathematics, statistics, measurement or related areas with significant experience and expertise in extracting and manipulating large and complex data sets. You have excellent analytical and research skills and written communication skills to prepare technical reports and provide expert advice to a range of audiences and stakeholders, including tertiary institutions, government, students and the general community.
