Statistical Modellers

Queensland University of Technology

Seeking Statistical Modellers

The Bayesian Research and Applications Group, in the Mathematical Sciences discipline at Queensland University of Technology, is located at the edge of the city centre of Brisbane, next to the Botanical Gardens, Parliament House, and the Goodwill Bridge over the Brisbane River.

We are seeking motivated people with skills in statistical modelling to work on a number of short-term contracts awarded to our group.

We are looking for people who have a mixture of practical and formal background in statistical modelling, experience working with large databases and with writing scripts or programmes in statistical packages. A background in Bayesian statistics is an advantage but not necessary. Essential are the ability to communicate statistical concepts simply, and to write reports and contribute to scientific articles. This work requires an excellent level of English speaking and writing.
