    The School of Public Health is a network of researchers, research groups and centres that facilitate the study of Public Health. The School is widely known for its strengths in Biostatistics and Epidemiology.

    We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to teach and research in the discipline of Biostatistics.

    In this role you will:
  • teach introductory and more advanced biostatistics to postgraduate students enrolled in degrees in biostatistics, public health and clinical epidemiology, using both face to face and on-line delivery
  • supervise Master of Biostatistics and other postgraduate coursework students' research projects
  • be encouraged to develop your own independent research interests, in an area consistent with the School’s research and teaching in biostatistics and epidemiology.

    To succeed you will have:
  • a higher degree in Biostatistics or applied statistics
  • experience teaching applied statistics and providing advice on biostatistics
  • excellent communication skills and ability to interact with students and university staff
  • experience in course development and administration, online delivery, and supervision of students' research projects (desirable)
  • a demonstrated history of relevant research and publication (desirable).
