The Discipline of Public Health, within the School of Population Health and Clinical Practice, is seeking to appoint an exceptional biostatistician to the position of Professor of Biostatistics and Director of the Data Management & Analysis Centre (DMAC).

As Professor of Biostatistics, the postholder will command international academic credibility and demonstrate the intellectual, strategic and operational leadership qualities to further develop the engagement of biostatistics across the full breadth of research and teaching activities of the School and Faculty.

DMAC is one of Australia's leading facilities supporting large-scale quantitative health research through its divisions of statistics, data management and IT/Programming. Through DMAC, in collaboration with the School of Mathematical Sciences, the University is a member of the Biostatistics Collaboration of Australia. Building on your reputation as an outstanding biostatistician, and with a vision to shape the sustainable long-term strategy of DMAC, you will be excited by the opportunities through DMAC for ongoing and new collaborative initiatives, such as the new Royal Adelaide Hospital and South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute, that will offer potential links for multidisciplinary research.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic biostatistician to make a contribution to the academic life of the School, Faculty and University and to further develop a unique and successful Centre.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

This continuing position is available from 1 January 2012.
