The Centre for Eye Research undertakes research into eye disease, visual impairment and blindness. The Centre also operates as the Department of Ophthalmology for the University of Melbourne at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

This position is responsible for analysing the data from research projects and providing consultation in the area of data analysis. The successful candidate will also prepare and present manuscripts at national and international conferences.

The primary focus of this position will be to:

Provide advice regarding the statistical aspects of research and the preparation of research proposals To assist in the construction and validation of questionnaires and the selection of assessment instruments Demonstrate well-developed communication skills, especially in terms of conveying and explaining statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
