Working with the Conservation and Landscape Ecology Research Group, lead by Professor David Lindenmayer, you will be involved in providing statistical assessments of, and advice on, the design and analysis of sites in the Long Term Ecosystem Research (LTER) Plot Network, and the data collected from them. This role presents you with a unique opportunity to combine skills in statistical analysis and academic writing. As part of the LTER Plot Network, a collaboration of a diverse range of project partners, you will help establish the foundations of a rich and large data set, as well as having the opportunity to research, write and publish papers, and undertake travel and field work.

Your statistical knowledge and specialist technical skills, combined with experience with ecological datasets, will set you apart for this role. In addition to formal qualifications this role requires effective written and oral communication skills, the ability to think strategically, to undertake research and to manage stakeholder relationships.
