Two year contract

The Health Economics and Social Policy Group, led by Professor Leonie Segal, conduct research exploring how to effectively allocate resources to improve the health and wellbeing of the community. The Group work closely with the State government to enhance health economics informed decision making, increase health economics capacity in South Australia and improve the health of the community. The Group are currently working on seven nationally competitive research grants and contracts for government.
If successful you will join the team as a junior health economist and will gain skills and expertise in the conduct of research, writing of manuscripts, and preparation of grant applications.
To be successful you must hold a bachelor degree and/or postgraduate qualification in health economics or a relevant discipline. Sound research, organisational and project management skills combined with high level written communication skills are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively in a team, and demonstrate initiative and independence.
The level of appointment and remuneration package will be determined according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
