  • Full time, fixed term for 2 years, remuneration package circa $73K-$103K p.a. which includes leave loading and up to 17% super

    The office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Strategic Management) assists the University faculties and Professional Service Units to develop, align, communicate and implement strategies and measure their success. This includes management of the University's `Work Slate', a group of projects that implement the University's strategic plan.

    Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for :
  • researching and collecting information from various sources (individuals, government agencies, businesses and the Internet)
  • analysing data relevant to strategic projects
  • mapping business processes
  • assisting in the scoping, planning and coordination of projects and their implementation
  • designing and distributing data/information tools
  • coordinating projects including monitoring, evaluation, tracking and reporting on progress
  • preparing reports.

    To succeed, you will possess a high level of analytical competency in data collection and quantitative analysis with a superior level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint. (Proficiency in Daptiv PPM or equivalent will be well regarded.) You will have outstanding organisational skills in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines and an ability to work on simultaneous projects. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working autonomously and within a team environment with the ability to respond to changing priorities. Your strong results orientation and attention to detail will see you preparing accurate and meaningful reports with text and graphics. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership potential and have knowledge of, and experience in project management.

    A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is essential and an understanding of the higher education sector is highly advantageous.

    The position is full time, fixed term for 2 years with the possibility of extension and subject to the completion of a satisfactory period for new appointees.
