Salary Level - Lecturer Level B: A$84,927 - A$100,119 per year (plus 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading)
Salary Level - Senior Lecturer Level C: A$103,153 - A$118,344 per year (plus 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading)

The School of Mathematics and Statistics is the largest in Australia and a major centre of research in the mathematical sciences. The School has notable strengths in fundamental research right through to cutting edge applications.

The Department of Statistics is seeking an appointment at a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. The Department's current research strengths are in Bayesian Statistics, Biostatistics, Financial Mathematics, Nonparametrics and Stochastic Analysis. Applicants who can strengthen or complement these areas of expertise are welcome to apply.

Applicants should have:

PhD in Statistics, Probability and Stochastic Processes, or related area;

strong commitment to independent research and be able to teach a wide range of courses offered in the School;

ability to supervise research projects in the School's undergraduate and postgraduate programs;

proven skills in research and research leadership, strong publication records and a commitment to teaching and course development of the highest standard.

This position is full-time continuing appointment.
