Job Description:
The School of Tourism is seeking a suitably experienced person to provide statistical advice and assistance to the School academic staff and Research Higher Degree (RHD) students. The School provides an attractive, supportive and vibrant research environment and the appointment of a suitable person to this role will contribute to the development of innovative projects and subsequent high quality research outputs and improve the provision of research support to RHD students.

The role:
The appointed person will provide statistical advice to academics staff and RHD students within the School and provide statistical workshops based on identified needs within the School, offered at different levels of complexity to cover the diverse needs of academic staff and RHD students in the School. In addition, the appointee will provide statistical advice and input to academics in the development of research proposals and publications.

The Person:
The appointment of the statistical advisor will be in the range of Academic Level A to B ($55,931.91 to $94,834.88 per annum FTE) depending on qualifications and experience. Demonstrated high level statistical expertise using SPSS and interpersonal, communication skills that contribute to the provision of training and development is essential.

Term of appointment:
The current position is offered at 0.2 FTE for a 12 month period.
