Expression of Interest - One entry-level and One mid-level Biostatistician

The Clinical Research Design, IT and Statistical Support (CReDITSS) unit is looking for highly motivated individuals to work as consulting statisticians to a wide range of academic medical researchers. The unit comprises 2 senior statisticians, an epidemiologist, 2 junior statisticians, 2 post-doctoral statistical fellows and a senior programmer/analyst.

The roles involve meeting with researchers, assisting in grant applications, developing statistical analysis plans, providing advice on design, choice of instruments, and analysis, running analyses, and drafting reports of results. A particular attraction of the positions is the wide variety of projects and analytic methods used.

These roles are full-time fixed term for 12 months, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees.
Part-time roles may be negotiated based on individual circumstances.
Further offers of employment may be available, subject to funding and need but are likely.

Entry-level position will be at HEW level 5/6:
HEW Level 5 - $55,129 - $63,951 per annum
HEW Level 6 - $63,951 - $70,566 per annum

Mid-level position will be at HEW level 7/8 or academic level A/B:
HEW Level 7 - $70,566 - $79,386 per annum
HEW Level 8 - $79,386 - $92,617 per annum
Academic Level A - $55,518 -$ 75,342 per annum
Academic Level B - $79,309 - $94,180 per annum
