Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited is a leading developer of high efficiency and low emission electricity generation units for homes and other buildings. Our primary product the BlueGen is the world's most efficient small scale generator delivering low carbon electricity 24hrs a day. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced data analyst to join our operations group. Your professional statistical and mathematical guidance will enable the company to achieve performance and manufacturing process optimisation.

In this role your key responsibilities will include:
  • Data analysis in relation to manufacture, assembly, unit failure modes and stack degradation using suitable techniques including ANOVA, CANOVA, fixed and random effects models
  • Technical guidance to operations group on statistical and mathematical analysis
  • Set up experimental test plans using DOE techniques including full and fractional designs, response surface methodology designs, computer generated designs, nested and split-plot designs
  • Customization of DOE techniques using the R environment

    Ideally the successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • Tertiary degree qualification in Mathematics or a related discipline
  • PhD qualification or equivalent industry experience in mathematics will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of data mining and statistical modelling including linear, locally-linear and non-linear regression, cluster analysis, analysis of categorical data
  • Previous experience of providing mathematical and statistical support to professional engineers and or scientists
  • Strong background in computational methods and statistical software

    Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively interact and communicate at all organisational levels. You excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills will provide guidance to the operations team.
