The Population Health Research Network

The Population Health Research Network (PHRN) was established in 2009 to build a nationwide data linkage infrastructure capable of securely and safely managing health and health related information from around Australia. The aim of the PHRN is to greatly improve the way health and health related data is made available to approved researchers. This innovative and unique collaboration, building on the success of well-established data linkage units in both Western Australia and New South Wales, seeks to enhance Australia's ability to research, analyse and monitor health trends and health needs.

The Program Office, is based in Subiaco, Perth, is coordinating the development of the PHRN. We are seeking a Coordinator, Metadata to develop and commence the implementation of a metadata framework for the PHRN.

This position offers excellent opportunities for career development as well as for contributing to development of Australia's health research infrastructure. Generous salary package including base salary, superannuation and tax free salary packaging are negotiable for the successful candidate. The position is to be filled for 12 months in the first instance with good prospects of extension.
