Postdoctoral Fellow - Biomedical Computational Fluid Dynamics

This is an exciting opportunity to conduct novel research into computational modelling in biomedical fluid dynamics using computational techniques and will require the candidate to work in multi-disciplinary teams. The successful candidate will work closely with biomedical researchers, biologists and chemists. The duties you will perform will revolve around computational modeling capability development and application that effectively captures the key flow physics and phenomenology.
Specifically these duties include:
CFD of turbulent multiphase flow;
CFD and FEA of fluid-structure interaction;
Theory, CFD and FEA of membrane and hydrogel mechanics;
Mathematical modeling of biological processes.
Location: Clayton, Victoria, Australia
Salary: $73K - $82K plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: 3 year term

To be successful you will have:
PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or mathematics.
Demonstrated conceptual and practical knowledge and skills in CFD model development and the application of CFD to solve complex problems.
Evidence of well-developed written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with a range of people from various scientific backgrounds.
A strong CV for a recent PhD graduate, featuring publications and/or patents.
Highly developed scientific programming skills with expertise in languages such as Fortran 90, C, C++
