Full time, Permanent

The School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences is offering a permanent full-time lectureship and invites applications from suitably qualified candidates within the field of statistics. Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant discipline and a strong record of research. Preference will be given to those with expertise in applied statistics and statistical computing with research applications in business and/or industry in order to contribute to the School's Analytics program. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct independent research, to be involved with the teaching and development of specialised undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and to engage in statistical consulting activities within the University.

The start date will be 1st July 2012 or by negotiation.

The Mathematical Sciences program within the School involves degree majors in Applied Mathematics, Analytics, Astronomy and Computer Science. Interdisciplinary research in these fields and collaborative research with other groups in the School and the University are encouraged.
