The role will be responsible for leading and managing a team of statisticians working in the biological sciences within CSIRO. The objective of the team will be to provide key statistical capability to biological researchers in areas such as agricultural productivity, sustainability and biodiversity. You will be responsible for the operation and delivery of the team and will work closely with relevant science Output Leaders.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Salary: $119K-$132K plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Indefinite

To be successful you will have:
A track record of applying statistical techniques to applied problems in the biological sciences
Excellent record of contributions to biological science through statistical analysis, as demonstrated by authorship of high quality publications, software or systems
An appreciation of relevant science and technology trends in the biological sciences
Demonstrable skills in team leadership within an applied statistics context
