Can you be lured to the rugged Australian outback which boasts the biggest boat race on a dry river bed, and of course, the biggest rock? Our client, based in Alice Springs, is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to play a pivotal role in delivering quality research findings for their head office operations.

The Client:

Our client undertakes research and analysis of tourism indicators, economies, consumer behaviour trends to turn market/industry trends and consumer insights into actionable strategies and solutions. They offer a good work/life balance, comprehensive training and development programs and above all, are a fun group of professionals.

The Role:

You will work with a wide range of data from multiple sources (typically from survey, customer or digital database) to conduct analytical projects predominantly marketing based. Working with the marketing and consultancy teams you will:
  • integrate multiple datasets into Tableau to deliver marketing analytics
  • manipulate and analyse customer, sample and big data
  • undertake statistical analysis techniques required for quantitative research
  • project manage external suppliers of quantitative and qualitative research
  • communicate insights across the organisation and industry including preparing presentations based on outputs.

    The Requirements:

    You will have an understanding of the marketing environment and the role of data in communications. It is also essential that you can translate your analytical skills into interpreting and communicating data through multiple media. A strong commercial awareness and ability to link analytical decisions and their financial impact is also desirable. In addition you will have:
  • tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline
  • significant experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, statistical analysis and data management
  • experience in processing and manipulating large datasets
  • demonstrated expertise with relevant software eg. SPSS or SAS, Excel, Access and Microsoft Office
  • demonstrated ability to research and analyse complex business problems and develop actionable policies, strategies and recommendations
  • highly effective interpersonal skills
  • ability to lead and/or manage projects
  • ability to supervise, coach and mentor junior staff.
