    The Client

    Our client is one of Australia's leading boutique market research and strategy agencies. The agency comprises a small team of highly experienced industry experts and thought-leaders. They work with Australia's leading brands in the financial services, travel, automotive and telecommunications industries. Our client is renowned for providing clients with the very highest standards of research and recommendations.

    The Position

    The company is growing, and this is a newly created role. This is a learning role where you will have the opportunity to develop skills in a commercial marketing and research domain, and learn the art of survey programming and data manipulation.

    Reporting to the Operations and IT Manager you will work as part of the team to efficiently manage survey programming, sampling, data processing and data outputs, contribute to research design needs and research data capture, processing outputting needs, support the IT system manager, run back-up and trouble-shoot computer related issues.

    The Requirements

    You will have a strong desire to be skilled in programming and working with data. In addition, you will possess the following attributes:
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Statistical `commonsense'
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to format outputted data into MS Excel
  • Charting and reporting experience using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Some experience with VBA and/or Javascript

    We would especially love to hear from you if you also have:
  • Familiarity with Data Collection research methodologies (online, telephone, face-to-face, etc.)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications - in Computing Science or Statistics
  • Experience working with Surveycraft or other research-industry related software
  • A working knowledge of SPSS
  • Experience with manipulating databases
  • CATI or CAPI experience
  • Work experience as a market research interviewer/team leader/supervisor
