Full time, fixed term position (3 years)

An outstanding opportunity exists for a Biostatistician to join bioCSL. Reporting to the Head of Biostatistics, you will provide statistics leadership and support for assigned projects across the business, ensuring the provision of statistically sound and robust methodology in a wide range of activities. This role that will see you be directly responsible for the integrity, adequacy and accuracy of the statistical aspects assigned projects. You’ll work to achieve objectives, minimise risk and cost, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements .Additionally, you will provide proposals and assessments of statistical strategies and collaborate with other functions across the business to ensure the success of cross functional project teams. You will also be involved in the development and application of new and novel statistical techniques that are effective, efficient and supporting innovation and efficiencies to projects.

To be considered for this position, you will need to hold a Masters degree in Biostatistics (or equivalent) with an undergraduate degree in a quantitative field and have statistical consulting experience in either a Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Industrial setting. You will have a proven track record of integrating statistical techniques and solutions into either pharmaceutical or engineering applications to achieve business results, as well as, a strong understanding of the statistical aspects of the regulatory requirements and guidelines, which relate to pharmaceutical activities. As a skilled communicator you will demonstrate the ability to explain complex statistical methodologies in the context of experimental objectives and the ability to engage, organise, lead and motivate teams. You will also display flexibility and adaptability and the ability to balance numerous projects and customers simultaneously and strong attention to detail.
