AgResearch's Statistics teams focus on the application of statistical methods to develop experimental protocols, analyse data and interpret results in order to better understand biological and environmental systems.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent training in Statistics to join our team. This is the opportunity to utilise your experience and knowledge of statistical consulting and experimental design to contribute to science discovery in New Zealand. This position offers a scale, range and quality of professional challenge that is unrivalled.

You will advocate statistical principles and will work collaboratively with scientists to provide expert advice on statistical methodologies and interpretation of statistical findings as well as training scientists in the use of statistical tools.

The successful candidate will have a relevant postgraduate qualification with a minimum of 5 years experience in statistical consulting, will be proficient in statistical packages (e.g. R, GenStat, SAS) and should have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex, technical information to the clients. S/he will also have good organisational abilities along with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
