There is a position available at RACS for an Evaluation and Survey Coordinator. The role requires sound ability in statistical analysis - primarily for setting standards in examinations (i.e. setting a pass mark, based on candidates' performance) and for evaluating exam performance (i.e. the performance of assessment items within exams). The Evaluation and Survey Coordinator provides statistical advice to support standard setting and quality assurance for examinations; enhances the validity and reliability of examinations and in-training assessments; designs, implements and coordinates evaluation strategies, provides advice to boards and committees; enhances the quality and implementation of surveys and contributes to research.

The successful candidate will have

  • a degree in social sciences (e.g. Psychology, Education) or Statistics, or a closely related area.
  • experience in quantitative research and data analysis, including interpretation of statistics
  • the ability to communicate statistical analysis clearly to a non-statistical audience
  • experience in survey construction, delivery and reporting
  • experience in conducting evaluation
  • an excellent working knowledge of SPSS or similar
