Teaching Focused Opportunities
- Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor, Actuarial Science

$109,942 - $145,839 (ALC/ALD) plus 17% superannuation

As a teaching focused academic, you will develop and deliver high-quality programs and engaging learning experiences at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate level.
You need current membership as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia or equivalent, and demonstrated industry experience. Proven high-level teaching skills, a strong understanding of contemporary education practice and demonstrated experience in curriculum development, and unit and course coordination are essential.
To be appointed ALD, you also require demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to steer major curriculum initiatives, a record of winning external grants and an emerging record of peer reviewed publications in the highest quality educational journals.

As Senior Lecturer / Lecturer, you will undertake nationally competitive and high-quality research relevant to your discipline, and deliver high-quality teaching to undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students.
You need a relevant doctoral qualification, a demonstrated ability to teach statistics to a high standard and evidence of student supervision to postgraduate level. A strong track record in statistics research and evidence of contributions to grants funding applications are essential.
At ALC, emerging national recognition of research is also required.
