The School of Veterinary and Life Sciences at Murdoch University has core research and teaching strengths in Molecular and Biomedical Sciences, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Sciences and Environmental and Conservation Sciences. The School also hosts the College of Veterinary Medicine and is involved in teaching undergraduate medical students and biomedical science students, amongst other Life Science cohorts.

Murdoch University invites applications for a continuing (tenure-track) position in biostatistics within the School of Veterinary and Life Sciences. The position will be filled at either the Senior Lecturer (C) or the Lecturer (B) level.

The position will be required to contribute to a number of relevant undergraduate units, including research skills units; to collaborate in the development of coursework Masters degrees; and to supervise honours and HDR students. Expectations are commensurate with level of appointment.

The successful candidate will have, or be developing, a strong international research profile in aspects of biostatistics, particularly as this relates to agriculture and fisheries, the environment and/or human and animal health. Strengths in modelling or bioinformatics in addition to more classical bio-statistical skills are desirable. Besides their own research interests, the successful candidate will be expected to collaborate closely with other research groups in the School and provide bio-statistical support and advice.
