Claims Analyst - Data / Statistical Analyst

Analysis and reporting of Motor Claims trends and repair costs

An opportunity currently exists for an Analyst to join our Technical division, where you will have the opportunity to use your analytical skills and enquiring mind to analyse, monitor and report on claims costs, with a focus on Motor Vehicle Repair costs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Analysing large quantities of complex data to make insightful analysis around profitability, claimant behaviours, repair costs and trends

Analyse repair cost data and identify trends

Deliver regular repair cost reports to better understand supplier value and cost drivers

Use modelling results to benchmark motor repairers

Communicate and explain the drivers affecting claims and cost trends

Provide analytical support for claim related projects.

Required skills and experience include:

Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Studies

Solid commercial experience in data analysis and modelling

General Insurance experience

Experience in the preparation of insightful reports

Strong analytical skills and the ability to research the drivers behind the results

Very strong experience in SAS programming and Excel

Experience with ArcGIS is desirable

A high level of personal motivation and drive to achieve performance

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
