Overview:
Griffith University has a strong record of research in disciplines within the social and behavioural sciences and the humanities. Teams of researchers in those disciplines are distributed across each of the University's four Academic groups and many of its research centres. The Griffith Social and Behavioural Research College (GSBRC) provides developmental and methodological support for those researchers.

This is a fixed term (three years), full time position primarily based at the Mt Gravatt campus, however the successful applicant may also be required to work on other campuses of the University.

The role:
This Academic position involves teaching, research and service duties through the conduct of workshops and provision of statistical advice and support to researchers in the pertinent disciplinary fields, under the general supervision of the Convenor of the GSBRC and the Academic supervision of the Senior Statistician.

The person:
The appointee to this position will bring a public profile of research achievement in applied statistics, quantitative social or behavioural sciences or a related pertinent discipline, and continue the development of their own research profile through mentorship from the Senior Statistician. The appointee to this role will have successfully completed a pertinent research doctorate, have strong data management and statistical analysis skills, and have strongly developed interpersonal, teaching and collaborative skills.

Salary range:
Lecturer, Level B: $84,227 - $100,023 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $98,547 - $117,027 per annum.

Associate Lecturer, Level A: $58,961 - $80,014 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $68,984 - $93,617 per annum.
