This position is a fixed term (three years), full time position primarily based at the Mt Gravatt campus, however the successful applicant may also be required to work on other campuses of the University.

Griffith University has a strong record of research in disciplines within the social and behavioural sciences and the humanities. Teams of researchers in those disciplines are distributed across each of the University's four academic groups and many of its research centres. The Griffith Social and Behavioural Research College (GSBRC) provides developmental and methodological support for those researchers.

This senior Academic position performs teaching, research and service duties through the delivery of workshops and the provision of statistical advice and support to research teams and individual researchers, including research doctoral candidates across the University in the social and behavioural sciences and humanities.

The appointee to this position will bring a strong public profile of research achievement in applied statistics, quantitative social or behavioural sciences or a related pertinent discipline, and will continue the development of their own research profile and provide leadership and mentorship in the field, including also to the position of Statistician within the College. The appointee to this role will have successfully completed a pertinent research doctorate, have strong data management and statistical analysis skills, a knowledge of current teaching and learning principles and practices in professional development programs, and have strongly developed interpersonal, teaching and collaborative skills.
