The George Institute is a global, health and clinical research organization. We employ over 350 people worldwide, with projects operating in more than 40 countries. Our global Statistical Services Division provides statistical expertise to support the research of The George institute including clinical trials, meta-analyses, observational studies, surveys as well as teaching and development of new statistical methods. We are seeking a full time Senior Biostatistician to support the Director in the coordination and guidance of the Statistics team and perform analysis of medical research projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with and provide statistical expertise to research staff
  • Coordinate a project team of biostatisticians and statistical programmers
  • Develop funding applications and research protocols
  • Prepare derived datasets for the analyses using SAS
  • Program and validate statistical analyses in SAS
  • Prepare and deliver reports for interim and final analyses

    Key skills:

  • Master or Doctoral qualifications in Statistics
  • Minimum 5-year experience as a statistician in medical research
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAS software
  • In-depth understanding of probability and statistics
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and coordinating teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on quality and timely delivery of work
