STATISTICS POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW
POSITION AT UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY SYDNEY

A post-doctoral fellow position in statistical methodology, theory and computing is available for commencement in or after early 2015.

The position is funded by the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for:

MATHEMATICAL AND STATISTICAL FRONTIERS OF BIG DATA, BIG MODELS, NEW INSIGHTS (www.acems.org.au)

Length of position: 3 years
Location: School of Mathematical Sciences, University of Technology, Sydney, City Campus (Broadway), Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Essential criteria:

Doctoral degree in Statistics.

Familiarity with the R computing environment.

Desirable criteria:

Familiarity with hierarchical Bayesian models.

Familiarity with the Stan and/or BUGS computing environment.

Familiarity with C and/or Fortran programming.

Track record of published work in the English language.
