    Two Lecturers in Statistics are required by the Department of Statistics, Data Science and Epidemiology. The Department conducts teaching and research in a wide range of areas, including health sciences, social sciences, psychology, business, statistical computing and data analytics. We offer online and on campus undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in applied statistics, numerous short courses on specific statistical methods, post graduate course work degrees (i.e., Graduate Certificates, Diploma and Masters) and PhD's by research.

    Departmental members are involved in both national and international research collaborations and regularly publish in peer reviewed journals across a range disciplines, including. These include: health and medicine, epidemiology, psychology, law, business, statistical education, social sciences and science.

    Skills and Experience

    To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • A PhD (or near completion) in statistics or a closely related discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Previous relevant industrial and/or teaching experience in statistics or a related area
  • Demonstrated ability to teach statistics on campus and online
