Position overview

The ANU College of Medicine, Biology and Environment (CMBE) brings together medical, biological, population health, psychological and environmental sciences in six schools: The ANU Medical School, The Fenner School of Environment and Society, The John Curtin School of Medical Research, the Research School of Biology, the Research School of Population Health, and the Research School of Psychology. Together the schools integrate high level research with a research-led curriculum that encompasses all of these different areas.

The National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH) forms part of the Research School of Population Health (RSPH) at The Australian National University (ANU) and is a leading centre of population health research in Australia. RSPH researchers have a tradition of excellence in addressing the world's most pressing population health issues, including mental health, healthy ageing, chronic disease prevention, infectious disease prevention, environmental health, social and cultural aspects of health and global health. ANU is leading the way in population health research in Australia and holds the highest rankings in the 'Excellence in Research for Australia' assessment in Public Health.

This position will be based within NCEPH, but contributes to activities across RSPH. The position will be responsible for strengthening and maintaining research leadership in biostatistics and applied statistics within the Centre and School, by overseeing and managing national and international competitive research grants in collaboration with the Chair in Biostatistics and research statisticians.

This position will initially be for three (3) years, with potential for extension conditional on funding.
