    The School of Mathematical & Geospatial Sciences draws together disciplines involving the collection of data with the analysis of data and the understanding and optimisation of systems through modelling and visualisation. The school offers undergraduate science degrees in Geospatial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and Surveying, and coursework masters programs in Analytics, Operations Research, Information Security, and Geospatial Science. The school is also a key provider of enabling courses to other Schools of the RMIT University

    An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer, Analytics, to contribute to the teaching of the School's programs in Analytics and related disciplines. This may require short periods of teaching at overseas campuses. The role is also responsible for contributing to c ourse development within the Analytics programs and maintaining and expanding related industry links. Areas of expertise sought include, but are not restricted to, Stochastic Processes, Bayesian Statistics, Time Series Analysis, Analysis of Large Data Sets, and Data Visualisation.

    The Lecturer, Analytics, will supervise research students in postgraduate research programs; contribute to the School research efforts, including research publications and competitive grant applications; and offer effective participation and initiative in the development of online course material.

    To be considered for this opportunity you will have demonstrated potential to contribute towards the design of high quality programs in Analytics and related disciplines. You will have proven ability in supervising Masters and PhD research students and you will hold a PhD in Statistics (or equivalent). In addition, you will have the ability to prepare and deliver courses and to develo p innovative approaches to course delivery and student-centred learning that successfully exploits new technologies.
