We seek a dynamic research-active academic working in any branch of statistics with an ability to contribute to programmes in applied statistics. The School of Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research has a leading reputation for research in New Zealand and internationally. The School also seeks to maintain and enhance a high quality teaching and learning environment. The appointee will help build further links with disciplines drawing on quantitative methods.

The appointee will be expected to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, to supervise postgraduate coursework and research students and to develop a research programme in keeping with the School's emphasis on high-quality scholarship.

The level of appointment will reflect the appointee's experience and academic record.
