The School of Population Health, the newest school in the Division of Health Sciences, will consolidate and advance the University of South Australia's capacity for training research professionals in the analysis of complex population-level data to inform health and social policy.

The Health Economist / Econometrician (Senior Research Fellow / Associate Research Professor) will be a leading mid-career academic researcher with discipline-based training and skills in health economics (and mathematics) with experience in multi-disciplinary, applied health economics and social policy research. This position will provide leadership and enhance the productivity of HESPG and the School of Population Health, in collaborative multi- and trans-disciplinary Category 1 research initiatives, authorship of refereed publications, and supervision of postgraduate research degree students.

To be successful, you will have a PhD in health economics or other relevant field. You will also have discipline-based training and skills in health economics and in one of econometrics, epidemiology, social policy and mathematics. You will have had experience leading multi-disciplinary, applied health economics research teams and good contacts with government, clinicians and/or other providers. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to develop networks and strategic partnerships are essential.
