The School of Medicine is seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer in Biostatistics who will be involved in the coordinator and/or teaching of units in relevant areas as well as conduct research and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The Centre for Health Research (CHR), a University Research Centre within the School of Medicine, has a specific focus on multidisciplinary research to tackle major health challenges for Western Sydney, and similar communities nationally and globally. As well as collecting original health and clinical outcome data, the Centre aims to make best use of existing health data collections and linked health datasets. It has unique expertise in conducting randomised controlled trials to assess self-management and preventive interventions and in qualitative research examining the construction and experience of health. The Centre for Health Research is part of the School of Medicine and is located at the Campbelltown campus.

You have experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as well as providing supervision to students. You also have experience working collaboratively with other researchers by providing high-level biostatistical support and consulting services. You can communicate effectively using different modalities with a wide range of staff, students and external partners. You are also familiar with utilising statistical software packages such as SAS, STATA and R.

This is a full-time, ongoing position which is primarily based at the Campbelltown Campus, with a requirement to travel to other campuses and facilities.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level B $107,958 to $127,391 p.a., (comprising salary $91,226 to $107,722 p.a., 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
