The Bosch Institute is a major centre for medical research in Sydney, Australia and is the research arm of the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Sydney. It brings together basic and clinical research scientists to tackle major unsolved questions about the human body in health and in illness. The institute is renowned for fostering high quality medical research and training and has developed a number of highly successful core research facilities to provide state-of-the-art technology to aid the highest quality research and innovation as well as major medical discoveries.
The Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (Bio 2) Facility is a new research facility to be established at the Bosch Institute, and the Bio 2 Officer is a newly created part-time position. You will report to the Institute's Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director. You will also liaise closely with senior researchers who will provide expert input into the operations of the facility.
The facility is being established to strengthen these components of research in the School of Medical Sciences, the Sydney Medical School, and throughout the University. Your main responsibility will be to assist researchers from throughout the University with statistical and bioinformatics processing of biological data.
